Christmas at Sea · 23–26 December

Christmas Eve on the water, with the city lit up behind you.

Four days in the south of the bay, with short legs that suit December daylight. You spend the first night in Santa Pola, then come home to Alicante for Christmas Eve: a gala dinner aboard with lobster and champagne, and the city's lights on the water.

South to Tabarca

Board at 11:00 at Marina Alicante. Across to Tabarca, Spain's first marine reserve, for lunch in the walled village, then on to Santa Pola for the night and dinner by the fishing port.

Christmas Eve

Round Cabo de Santa Pola and home to Alicante. The afternoon is yours for the Christmas market and the giant nativity in Plaza del Ayuntamiento. At 20:30, the gala dinner aboard.

Christmas Day

A slow breakfast, then a sail along the coast to Cabo de la Huerta, with a swim for the brave (the sea is around 16 °C). Lunch aboard is cocido con pelotas, Alicante's Christmas stew.

New Year at Sea · 29 December – 1 January

Six guests, one table, one midnight.

Four days up the coast to Villajoyosa, Altea and Benidorm Bay. On New Year's Eve the gala dinner is served aboard in Villajoyosa, then a private transfer takes you to Benidorm's free party on Levante beach for the twelve grapes, the fireworks and, at one o'clock, Big Ben for the British.

Board at 11:00. North past Cabo de la Huerta and El Campello to Villajoyosa, the town of painted houses and the Valor chocolate factory. Night in Villajoyosa.

Round the Serra Gelada cliffs to Altea, the white old town under its blue-tiled church domes. Dinner ashore and a night in Altea.

New Year's Eve

Lunch at anchor by Benidorm Island and the last sunset of the year (17:50) with champagne, then back to Villajoyosa to dress. The gala dinner starts at 20:00.

Chocolate con churros, the Spanish New Year's morning, and caldo con pelotas for lunch. Sail home to Alicante and step ashore before sunset.

Book one cabin for both cruises and keep it through 26, 27 and 28 December while the boat rests in Alicante. Two galas, two coasts, and a Mediterranean winter week in between.

  • Travel to Alicante (the airport is about 20 minutes away)
  • Dinners ashore on the other nights — we book the tables
  • Travel insurance

Booking and payment

  • Request a cabin and we confirm personally, then send a secure link for a 25% deposit.
  • The balance is due by 1 December.
  • The deposit is non-refundable; after 1 December a refund is possible only if we resell the cabin.
  • Prices include IVA and are per double cabin, for one or two guests.

If the weather turns

The galas, the grapes and the fiesta happen whatever the sea does, and we don't sail at night: the yacht is alongside before the evening begins. If a sailing leg is unsafe we stay in port and enjoy the town; the TRAM line links Alicante, Villajoyosa and Benidorm.
