Course overview
Practical training in pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling for sailors preparing to skipper a yacht by day in familiar waters.
Day Skipper theory is recommended before the practical course, but the final fit is confirmed from your experience.
Training includes planning, crew welfare and handling routine and emergency situations.
Before you join
- Suggested minimum: 5 days at sea, 100 nautical miles and 4 night hours.
- Basic navigation and seamanship knowledge; Day Skipper theory is recommended.
- Minimum age: 16.
