Course overview
A condensed programme combining Day Skipper theory and practical training for students who already have experience comparable with Competent Crew.
Theory begins over the first weekend, practical training runs Monday to Friday, and theory and examinations conclude on the second weekend.
Successful completion can result in both Day Skipper theory and practical certificates.

What you need
- Some prior sailing experience is helpful, but the fast-track is built to take you from a low base to Day Skipper.
Recommended first
- A short taster or Competent Crew experience first if you have never sailed.

Before you join
- Suggested minimum: 5 days at sea, 100 nautical miles and 4 night hours.
- Basic navigation and seamanship, with practical experience around Competent Crew standard.
- Minimum age: 16.
