RYA Competent Crew Practical

If you’ve not been sailing before and want to learn the basics, this is the course for you. You’ll stay on the yacht for the duration of the course and learn all about living aboard with your fellow crew members.
We teach you how to stay safe, how to prepare the boat for sea and how to become an effective member of the crew. By the end of the course you’ll be surprised how much you’ve learnt and will have achieved the minimum pre-course requirement for the Day Skipper course.

- Course content: Basic seamanship & helmsmanship
- Ability after course: Useful member of crew, being able to steer under motor and sail, keep a lookout, row a dingy, hoist and lower the sails and assist in emergency situations
